We stayed at Agriturismo Verdecielo with our kids for a few days.  We have nothing but praise for this Agriturismo. Lorenzo and his family were extremely welcoming. The place is located just 15 minutes by car from Padua Centre in the middle of lush fields. The structure is brand new and extremely clean. It was great to return back to our room every night for a good rest after a day exploring the region. We also enjoyed Lorenzo's breakfast with his home made regional delicacies and home made jams. Verdecielo is a gem located in the countryside yet very close to Padova. Being interested in organic products, I pinned this place since I first found it researching farm stays in Veneto. The whole concept created by the owners is wonderfully sustainable (electricity come from solar panels and the water for the WC comes from recycled rainwater) and most of its products are made from their fields and animals. Rooms are quiet, spacious, and also have a fridge. The large patio door looks at the beautiful garden where plants like lavander, rosemary and sage are grown. In the corner there are also two rabbits. In the morning the breakfast is simply wonderful: prosciutto, cheese, eggs from their farm, plus their homemade organic jams which are incredibly tasty (they sell them and I bought three, probably I should have gotten more actually). Try the pancake with melon jam: it was the best pancake I've ever eaten and I don't even like melon! Last but not least, their homemade cookies are delicious: soft, tasty, delicate. Simply perfect. The overall atmosphere is very "family-like", it's been a real pleasure to chat with Lorenzo about many things, his suggestion to use the tram from the tram terminal, located only 4 KMS from the agriturismo, and use the parking near it for the car (only one euro for the entire day) was a life saver. Beautiful spacious accommodation in the countryside with a pleasant host ☺ My wife and I stayed here for two nights. We were impressed with everything. Lorenzo was an extremely friendly host. He provided a lot of useful information about Padua and other attractions in the area and offered free tourist brochures and a map of Padua. The accommodation is wonderful, everything was perfect. The house is in the middle of the countryside and beautiful nature. There is a beautiful garden around the house that is available. Spacious parking. Everything is new and modernly furnished, functional, yet pleasant and simple. Large rooms, beautiful bathroom, everything clean and tidy. Everything is even more beautiful and better in person than in the pictures. We were surprised. The air conditioning in the room works great. Choose the breakfast that is available, as it is a real treat of homemade delicacies from the farm: fresh figs, jams, homemade juice. A real gourmet experience. Top notch. Great location as it is close to Padua with good connections by car, bus or train, and a starting point for many other interesting places and attractions in the area: the Eugenio Hills, Venice, Chioggia, Montegrotto Terme, Vicenza. We would be happy to come back again.
